It was communicated earlier in the year that each family would submit a cheque post dated to Feb 1 2010 for $100 that would be cashed if 5 volunteer hours were not completed. It was decided Oct 4 2009 that we will not collect these cheques. There will still be the 4-5 hour volunteer requirement per family however. If we find that this honor system does not work we will institute the cheque next season.

Coach Selection and Development Committee shallbe composed of: the President (Chairperson), the Rep Director, the MDDirector and 2 volunteers. The purpose of this committee is to makecoach selection evaluations for the Board on the basis of a consistentand thorough coach selection process to ensure the best availablecoaches are selected. This committee also assists Directors inreviewing and developing coaches within their division.

Communications Committee shallbe composed of: the President (Chairperson), the Secretary and 1 otherBoard member. This committee is to handle the correspondence of theassociation in a manner consistent with maintaining and enhancing theimage of the association.

Competition Committee shallbe composed of: the Rep Director, the MD Director, 1 HL Director (1designated as the Chairperson), 1 volunteer from the Rep division, 1volunteer from the MD division and 1 volunteer from the HL Division.This committee is to review and ensure teams are playing at the properlevel of competition annually and that recreational league teams arefair.

Conduct/ Discipline Committee shall be composed of: the President (Chairperson), the Secretary, 1 other Board member and 2 volunteers. Thiscommittee is to oversee any issues that may require discipline ofmembers, coaches, managers, staff and anyone else associated with theWMHA.

This committee is to propose amendmentsto the Constitution and Manual of Operations of the association and toreview issues that arise during the season related to these documents.

Hockey Development Committee shallbe composed of: the Hockey Development Coordinator (Chairperson), 2Board members, 2 Travel Team coaches and 2 volunteers. The purpose ofthe committee is to oversee the purposeful development of players basedon a given set of skills to be taught by age. They will oversee anydevelopment clinics WMHA offers. They will also monitor and assistcoaches as required in cooperation with the Coach Selection andDevelopment Committee.

Ice Scheduling and Registration Committee shallbe composed of the Rep Director, the MD Director, a House LeagueDirector and the Administrative Coordinator. This committee shall beresponsible for the equitable distribution of ice time and themaintenance of our Registration system.

Membership Meeting Committee shallbe composed of: the President (Chairperson), the Secretary and theTreasurer. This committee is to organize the meetings of the membershipsuch as the AGM (annual general meeting).
